At our last playgroup we did a ‘water’ theme. The children love it. Bar soap in water is an inexpensive way to keep children busy. It’s a ton of fun and keeps their small muscles working.
Turkey baster and funnels make soapy water an adventure. We did make a small mess, but clean up was easy! Soapy water allows children to explore many different senses during play!
The play kitchen always brings children together. This crew came up with several creative games and social activities!
Marble Art- the children thought this activity was pretty cool. We put the marbles in paint and threw them on the pan. Then we rolled them around and created art!!!
Puzzle Time!
Water Art- the children explored and experimented with water and paint. We had several masterpieces! ????
Blocks- ‘building’ and creating roads, towers, and tunnels!
Doodle dots are always fun!!!
We had playdough but I loved watching the children come up with their own activity. They stacked the empty containers and knocked them over with their noses. It was so neat to see them take turns and communicate the rules. The best part was hearing the giggles!!!!
Car Art- we did table art and one of the little boys brought his car. This little guy had so much fun he didn’t want to leave????. Pretty sure his mom did more car art at home. Once again, strengthening their fine motor skills in creative ways. They didn’t even know they were working those skills.
During our story time we learned about God and how He provides for us. We discussed all the different ways we use water. Thanking and Praising God!
