Julie Wallace

Julie Wallace, M. Ed.

Child Development Specialist

Julie has always loved working with children. She taught kindergarten, first grade, and multi-age first and second grade at Union Public Schools. She taught first grade for three years in Austin, Texas. While teaching in Austin, Julie asked the Lord to make any and every change in her life. She returned home to Tulsa and the same classroom she taught in Union. After nine years in the classroom, Julie desired a new challenge and became an assistant principal. Then, she had the privilege of being one of the pioneers of Broken Arrow Public Schools’ all day PreK program and served as a principal for ten years.

Julie loved to see children experience success in school despite their behavior challenges or learning differences. She sought the Lord for two years before making the decision to explore employment outside of public education. She prayed to work in an environment where she could continue to be the hands and feet of Christ. She is grateful to be a part of Building All Children.

Julie developed a love of learning at the University of Oklahoma, the University of Central Oklahoma, and Northeastern State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education and a master’s degree in education.

Julie is blessed with one daughter and helped raise her niece and nephews. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, encouraging others, exercising, watching movies, and eating delicious food. Her favorite place to vacation is the beach.
