Katy Fulda

Reading Specialist

Katy Fulda comes from a family of teachers: her grandfather (an engineering professor at the
University of Tulsa), her father (a pastor with a PhD with a passion for teaching Greek), and her
mother (a high school English and Spanish teacher who still loves tutoring). After graduating
from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Elementary Education, Katy taught 3rd grade
for several years until she had her first child, Kinley. Two more kids later, Katy has recently
returned to the classroom and now serves as a tutor and substitute teacher whenever she can.
Few things inspire Katy more than teaching and helping kids find their passion for reading. Katy
is married to Ryan, and has three children: Kinley, Claire, and Barrett. She enjoys volunteering
in her kids’ school and at church.
