As Kendra with Building All Children began receiving more invitations to speak at churches, schools, and community events, Kendra quickly realized that sharing BAC’s mission required more than simply showing up. She needed brochures, displays, speaking materials, and the skills to communicate the heart behind the work.
God provided in unexpected ways. One woman volunteered to help with design, while Wendy, a professional speaking coach, felt led to offer Kendra a class to help her grow in her speaking skills. Through that opportunity, Kendra learned not only how to become a more confident speaker, but also how to prepare a “speaking dresser” to help her share BAC’s mission wherever she went.
Speaking takes practice, but this story is about something much bigger than learning a new skill. It’s about listening when God places someone on your heart, being willing to act on that nudge, and being open to receiving the help He provides.
In this episode, Kendra reflects on how one person’s willingness to follow that prompting made an immeasurable difference in spreading the word about Building All Children.
Sometimes God’s provision begins with a simple tug on someone’s heart—and a willingness to say yes!
