  • The Child Development Specialist will be hired as a W-2 employee, with a schedule based on program needs. This position will be estimated at 25-30 hours weekly. 

    The position of Child Development Specialist must have a master’s degree in early childhood, child development or an education field. Candidate must be self-motivated, dependable, compassionate, and strive to work with excellence. Our Child Development Specialists ASSESS children and then RESOURCE families. The Child Development Specialist will administer developmental and academic assessments not to diagnose, but for families to learn more about their child’s developmental needs and gifts. After assessments, our Child Development Specialist will develop a resources plan to share with families. This position requires someone who is willing to walk alongside families and EMPOWER them as they take steps to help their child BUILD development. This is a position that is meant for someone looking for a long-term position with us. Hourly compensation will be based upon level of education and experience.

  • An internship at Building All Children is a semester long experience designed for High School Junior and Senior students seeking to further their interest or education in a child development field. 

    High School interns work as a “Play Assistant”. The Play Assistant Intern supports the planning and execution of engaging playgroups for children birth to 6 years of age. This role involves creating age-appropriate activities, coordinating supplies, and collaborating with the Play team to ensure a positive and organized environment. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    ·       Assist in preparing for monthly Play & BUILDgroup® and BUILDville® Playgroups/Field Trips.

    ·       Assist during Play & BUILDgroup® at our Partner locations and during BUILDville® Playgroups and Field Trips.

    ·       Meet regularly with the Play team to discuss monthly activities, themes, and schedules.

    ·       Organize, prepare and maintain supplies needed for playgroups throughout the month.

    ·       Work closely with the Play Coordinator and Play Director to foster a positive, collaborative work environment.

    Skills & Qualifications: 

    ·       Strong organization and time-management skills 

    ·       Comfortable working with children ages 0–8 and their caregivers 

    ·       Ability to lead volunteers and communicate clearly 

    ·       Attention to detail and follow-through 

    Alignment with BAC mission and values.

  • An internship at Building All Children is a semester long experience designed for college students seeking to further their education and experience in a child development field.

    College interns support a variety of programs and services, gaining hands-on exposure to the child development assessment process. This includes observing and assisting with developmental assessments, supporting with family conferences, and collaborating with team members to help create a positive experience for children and caregivers while providing ways to build a child’s development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    · Observe and assist with developmental assessments and family conferences

    · Support preparation and implementation of playgroups, programs, and special events

    · Assist with organizing materials, resources, and program supplies

    · Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning and collaboration

    · Work closely with staff to foster a positive, organized, and supportive environment

    Skills & Qualifications:
