It breaks my heart that a Jenks mom was found in her car with her three-year old daughter. The news reported that the Jenks police think she took her own life because she felt hopeless. They found her and her daughter in the garage with the car running. My heart is sad! All the more reason Building All Children is needed!
I love the book of Ruth – Naomi felt hopeless. Ruth 1:21 Naomi went back to her home town after she lost her husband and both her sons. When she returned she said “I went away full, but the Lord has brought me home empty.” She felt bitter, even wanting to change her name. She felt empty even with the Lord in her heart. I love the story of Ruth because Ruth had pain, suffering, and tragedy too… but she didn’t leave Naomi. As a matter of fact, she ended up bringing Naomi great joy! Today, I will be joyful and rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice! ~Philippians 4:4
Father, please allow Building All Children to encourage moms that feel helpless!~ Amen
Amen!!!
Amazing that you wrote about the mom from Jenks. When I saw the story on TV this morning, the first thing I thought of was, what a shame she didn’t have someone to confide in and then I thought of Building All Children. The need is so great.
Raising children is so difficult and this tool will certainly be a blessing. Now that I have a grandchild I pray daily for her happiness! I am sharing your site with Abby; I am proud of you Kendra, you are truly walking the walk.
Thank you Darilyn! Your words are very sweet! Please let Abby know about Building All Children! I would love to see that sweet baby!
