When Building All Children was contacted to partner with 5 local churches to help feed 150 families, I had no idea what blessings were to come! It was an honor to spend an evening last week volunteering alongside Beaver Street Baptist, Crossroads Baptist, St. James Episcopal, Jenks United Methodist, and River Oaks Christian Church to pack up the meals. These churches explained that their original list of 150 families in need had grown to 196 families. More and more families are in times of need right now, and it was a privilege to be able to help these churches serve. The Bible tells us “For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.” Deuteronomy 15:11
A couple of weeks ago, these churches contacted Building All Children and asked us to collect 150 boxes of mac-n-cheese and 150 cans of corn. I sent out an email to several people who have supported our ministry, and all the supplies were quickly provided! I couldn’t believe how people offered to help and how God provided! I felt so grateful to have such great support!
At the work night, we ended up having 20 volunteers from Building All Children, and we helped fill boxes with Thanksgiving dinners.
The children helped us carry all the items into the church! What great helpers!!!
I’m so thankful for all of our volunteers and all the wonderful donations! “Let us thank the Lord with our whole heart!” Psalm 111:1
Building All Children wishes you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”
