I’m a huge fan of clipboards.  Every car should have a clipboard with a pencil attached.  Once again, this allows the child to draw at an angle; it’s easier for them to complete their tasks with success.  Have them help you make the grocery list.  They can even cross it out once the item is in the shopping cart.  Clipboards give the child a sense of independence while challenges their cognitive, adaptive, fine motor skills, and faith development.

Dollar Tree has these clipboards (only $1).  Your children will love decorating them… stickers, cutting paper, gluing, and coloring also works those small motor muscles.  Placing scripture on the clipboard is an easy way to talk about the things God created.  Especially, scripture that the children can visually see as they look out their car window (examples- birds, stars, moon, and sky)

Psalm 19:1  -The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.

Matthew 6:26 -Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?

Psalm 148:3-4 -Praise him, sun and moon! Praise him, all you twinkling stars! Praise him, skies above! Praise him, vapors high above the clouds! Let every created thing give praise to the Lord.
